My first tattoo (top) on my back and my brothers 4th (bottom) on the back of his right forearm, right after they were finished. Done by Cristina Bean in Whittier, CA. She’s amazing! His took one 6 hour session with small breaks and mine took two 2 hour sessions.

We got these done as a birthday present to one another (mine March 8 and his March 2). We’re Indonesian and we wanted to show our roots. It’s a Balinese Barong, a dragon god that wards off evil spirits and protects good spirits. My brother customized it himself so they were special for the both of us. We’re also both Pisces so the sign is incorporated in there as well. My brother is very artistically talented and I love him so much. He’s helped me open my eyes to my artistic abilities as well. I see this as just another symbol of the bond we share.
